Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s personal assistance devices
• Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare teams
• Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and care plans, ensuring accuracy and safety at all times
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, including cooking and meal planning in accordance with health protocols
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks in residents’ living areas, common spaces, and activity rooms
• Support residents during community outings or social activities to promote engagement and socialization
• Document care activities meticulously in compliance with healthcare regulations and assist in updating personalized care plans

Requirements

• Previous experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer’s care), memory care, autism support, and hospice care is highly desirable
• Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training, and medication administration are required or can be obtained upon hire
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks necessary for patient transfer using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON>
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate attitude towards individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges
• Experience working with individuals requiring specialized care for conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer’s is a plus
• Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA regulations
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
